Calling GerriG + birthday things

First of all--still hoping to hear from GerriG--winner of my giveaway.  If anyone knows a contact for her, please let her know, as I will otherwise redraw this Friday.
I had the greatest birthday gift yesterday--my niece, who is also my god-daughter and her husband are expecting their first child and she waited to share it with our family on my birthday--what a gift.

Always the greatest birthday gift I'll ever receive happened on my "golden birthday"--when I was seven years old on March 7th--my sister was born.  And so began what to this day is still a life long, deep sustaining friendship.  We always tell new people we meet that we are twins--it's just that I was more anxious to begin life than she was, so like the ground hog she went back inside for 7 more years.  Yes, we get some funny expressions--but it's been our favorite joke for years and we always refer to each other as Twinling as a term of affection.  It's nice to be weird with someone who understands!  Ok, so my blogging may not have to be cut off entirely!  Anyway as I was about to close my work day yesterday there was a serious knock on my office door. Thinking it was UPS I whipped the door open and what did my surprised eyes behold, but this lovely basket from Twinling!  May you life be filled with love.

The winner(s)

Thank you all for entering, for taking a moment to share some of your favorite designers and subjects for stitching.  Who knew samplers would win--with LHN coming in a close second.
This celebration was a nice finale for me as I'm  going to take a break from blogging--yes, this might be my blog swan song.  I'll be checking in on you all from time to time because I've been so inspired by your work.  Also I've seen so many wonderful finishing techniques that I have to keep coming back to learn more.  However as we all know, life has it's own demands and timetable and right now mine is saying "I need more attention".
                                                                    So the winner is----
                                                                    GerriG--Rn!
You've won the first draw which includes the Longaberger basket, a scissor frog as well as a mix of patterns!  I couldn't find your email address so please contact me at pegcoleman@fineenamels.com
If I've not heard from you by Friday, I'll need to draw another name.

Winner of the 2nd draw is Bridgette, this is a little packet of charts, some fibers, and some decorative pins.  I've emailed  you Bridgette so be sure to contact me by Friday this week so I can send your gift out to you.

Shar and Nan, I've contacted you separately via email about another matter--please let me know if
you don't receive that email.
                                                              All the best to everyone.

a tardy but worthy post

I am so behind but at last got a pic of the give away I won in Nancy's draw at Victorian Motto Sampler. I only wish I could do justice to the rich, gorgeous colors of the hand dyed threads. These skeins are the thickest I've seen and the colors are full of life. Nancy very kindly let me choose one of her sayings and I chose "let not your heart be troubled" which to me is a joyous saying and I'm looking forward to stitching it.  So be sure to check her out at at her ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com/Victorian-Motto-Sampler-Shoppe
