Drawn Thread new start

My new project, started last night while on vacation in the Blue Ridge, is To Everything A Season by Drawn Thread.  I loved this project immediately. My problem is, I'm not so drawn to alphabets, but loved everything else about this.  So I did a little adjusting, took out the alphabet and you can see
what I'm stitching...

Wow where has the time gone

Vacation---yeah!  I'm sitting in a window seat at midnight in a vacation home I've rented for the week with friends.  So far we've sat around the table and talked...and talked...and talked. Absolutely wonderful, relaxing, interesting.  Finally finished my Sampler Cove project and forgot to bring it so I could upload pics--will do that later.  Will also load a few other pics tomorrow.  Just wanted to check in, say I'm reading your blogs and glad you're there.  Seeing your work continues to inspire me.
Went through a period after concentrating on the one project for so long that I couldn't face another stitch. Wasn't sure if this was a permanent condition..thankfully..due to all of your beautiful work, the
sound of the needle is calling again.  So tomorrow I'll be planting myself here with needle, thread, and
new project by Drawn Thread "To Every Season", a book of scripture dear to my heart.

Last post before flight

This is a shot looking out through the gates of a very special place in  England about 15 miles north of London.  This was taken last year---but they're looking the same this year, so I'm wearing boots on the plane! I have 'excited stomach' which always happens at this time. While packing last night I discovered a security tag still on a sweater I wanted to take---so quick trip back to the store, then back home for the taxi!    Finalized my 15 finishes for 2011:  12 days of Christmas by T.Wentzler on 28ct linen over one:  Kaleidoscope Flower by Sampler Cove on 28 count linen over 2: Christmas Tree Mandala by Martina Weber-28ct over 2 on linen: To Everything a Season (my revised version) by Drawn Thread--32 count Irish linen over 2.
