Snow, snow and the first of 2011 project finishes

If I  don't talk with you all before then--Happy New Year.  I am one of those who love to wait up to see the New Year in--no matter how quietly it's done. And no matter how many times I tell myself it's just another hour or minute or day there remains the mystery of possibilities and potential. I do take time to evaluate, think through, and write down things I would like to see done differently in the New Year.  And I like to think back over the previous year, see things that didn't work out, evaluate time spent on unimportant things that could have been used more wisely.  Actually it would be much more effective to do this weekly or monthly but there you have it!
Having been raised in Minnesota to the ripe age of 27, I still love snow. This pic was taken in my yard--a simple pine cone resting quietly on a blanket of snow...

Bench in my back yard which was simply to lovely to disturb by sitting on

This is one I've started (28 over one linen) and would love to finish in 2011...hmmm.

  1. I've never seen this one...can you tell me who the designer is? I think you can do it :) 28 over one would be hard for me. I would love to watch this one grow through the year.

  2. Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you, Peg.
We have quite a bit of snow here but it's blowing and drifting...not as peaceful as what you seem to have there. I agree, there is a beautiful peacefulness to new fallen "undisturbed snow" as your pictures show :)
Your new project for 2011 is lovely. Over one is an undertaking but is so worth the final result. Good Luck! Please keep us updated on your progress~~
