Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.....

Oh the weather outside is frightful...and I'm on hold with the airlines as i type...flying to London tomorrow BUT the airports are all "snowed in".  Friends coming from Asia were diverted to Copenhagen and are still there --the good side is at least they're in the land of good coffee! They could have been grounded in somewhere far worse...I wonder if they have good heating, though or if you have to wear a lot of down. If so--friends are out of luck as I'm sure they didn't pack down coats!
Message says "wait time is an estimated 19 minutes" and yes, I'll wait--kind of like those lines trying to get into the malls yesterday and although I wasn't going to one I had to use all sorts of diversionay tactics to get around the backed up lines on the roads.  Hope you weren't in one of them!

Went with friends last night to see "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader".  If you've ever read  The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe series by C.S.Lewis I think you'd love this movie.

In anticipation of flying tomorrow I had begun to put away the Christmas things in my bedroom--I like to return from London with my mind set toward the New Year ahead--full of freshness. And when something I've been dealing with or mulling over or been seriously engaged in trying to figure out suddenly becomes clear I clean--especially closets.  So at whatever point I get off hold today I will finish putting away the Christmas things, then clean my closet and organize my stash.  I still have to post my list for the 15 "starts" I intend to turn into "finishes" this year. They are chosen, just need to be set in writing so I'm pinned down!

Yesterday bought the final fibers for Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow so now I have everything I need. The problem is---who else is facing this?  I now have 3 "majors" in the works: Garden of Life by Heaven and Earth designs: T.Wenzler 12 Days of Christmas and now Christmas at HRH---which doesn't count the 12 others that are large but not on the scale of these three.  Hmmmm.

I lived in London for 16 years and am a passport holder for the UK so I return every Christmas.  The trip is always part business--some years heavy on the business end. However this year we've limited the meetings, so far, to two biggies and most of the work is done for them. So I'm hoping to spend a day updating my site. I know so little about how to organize a blog site that I need a space of time for the learn curve.  I enjoy visiting each of your sites and seeing something of your creativity reflected there--I say some---because I know there's a wealth more that you're expressing in so many other ways in your lives----News flash!!! The flight is on schedule----yeah---I can't wait to see my friends who are my dear family.   Talk with you again---hope this week goes well for each of you.

  3. I enjoyed reading your blog. The video of the singers in the mall bought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for posting that. We don't see things like that often. I can only imagine what it was like to see that live. Your dads manger is so pretty. He is in heaven smiling down. Have a blessed trip. Merry Christmas.
